COLUMBUS, OHIO -- The Columbus Blue Jackets have recalled right wing Josh Anderson from Cleveland’s Lake Erie Monsters, Columbus’ American Hockey League affiliate, club General Manager Jarmo Kekalainen announced today.
Anderson, 21, has tallied three goals and an assist for four points with 10 penalty minutes and a -1 plus/minus rating in eight games with Lake Erie this season. He collected an assist and two penalty minutes in six games with Columbus during his first professional season in 2014-15. He also registered 7-10-17 and 76 penalty minutes in 52 AHL games with the Springfield Falcons.
The club’s fourth pick, 95th overall, in the 2012 NHL Draft, Anderson played three seasons with the Ontario Hockey League’s London Knights from 2011-14. He registered 62-61-123, 192 penalty minutes and was +58 in 191 career OHL games, including a career-high 27-25-52 in 59 games in 2013-14. The Burlington, Ontario native also represented Canada at the 2014 IIHF World Junior Championships
