COLUMBUS, OH – The Columbus Blue Jackets have added defenseman Dean Kukan to the roster on emergency recall from Cleveland’s Lake Erie Monsters, Columbus’ American Hockey League affiliate, club General Manager Jarmo Kekalainen announced today.
Kukan, 22, has recorded three goals and seven assists for 10 points with six penalty minutes and a +1 plus/minus rating in 29 games with Lake Erie in his first professional season in North America this season. The Volketswil, Switzerland native notched 3-10-13 with 14 penalty minutes and a +2 plus/minus rating in 52 games in his second full season with Luleå HF in the Swedish Hockey League in 2014-15. Signed by Columbus to a two-year, entry level contract on June 1, 2015, he collected 8-21-29 with 26 penalty minutes and a +19 plus/minus rating in 125 career SHL games with Luleå from 2011-15.
