COLUMBUS, OHIO - The Columbus Blue Jackets have re-assigned six players today, team President and General Manager Doug MacLean announced. With today's moves, the Blue Jackets now have 44 players remaining on their training camp roster.

The following players were assigned to the Syracuse Crunch, Columbus' American Hockey League affiliate: centers Brian Gornick, Geoff Platt and Andrew Murray and defensemen Andrew Canzanello and Mark Flood. The club also assigned right wing Adam Pineault to the Moncton Wildcats of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.

The Blue Jackets, who are currently 1-1-0 in the preseason, return to action on Thursday when they host the Detroit Red Wings at Nationwide Arena. Game time is set for 7 p.m. Columbus will then play four-straight road games before wrapping up their preseason schedule at home against the Chicago Blackhawks on Friday, September 30, and Nashville Predators on Sunday, October 2.
