COLUMBUS, OHIO --- The Columbus Blue Jackets today announced that forward Michael Chaput and defenseman Cody Goloubef have both been reassigned to the American Hockey League’s Springfield Falcons.
Chaput, who turns 21 today, has registered 11 goals and 17 assists for 28 points with 51 penalty minutes in 67 games with Springfield this season, which is his first as a professional. He leads all Falcons rookies in goals (tied), assists and points.
Goloubef, 23, has appeared in 11 games with Columbus this season, scoring a goal and registering 10 hits, seven blocked shots and 14 shots on goal. He scored his first career NHL goal on Feb. 11 in a 6-2 win over the San Jose Sharks. He has also chipped in 5-7-12 with 38 penalty minutes and a +9 plus/minus rating in 32 games with Springfield in 2012-13.
Columbus returns to action tonight with 7 p.m. matchup against the San Jose Sharks at Nationwide Arena.
