Three Blue Jackets prospects were invited to recent Junior Evaluation camps, 2004 draftee Adam Pineault (USA) and 2005 draftees Gilbert Brule (Canada) and Kris Russell (Canada).

Pineault, Columbus' second round pick in '04, recorded 2-3-5 including a game-winning goal, during Team USA's Junior Evaluation Camp in Lake Placid, NY from Aug. 6-13. Team USA scrimmaged against Team Finland's and Team Sweden's under-20 squads.

Pineault, a member of Team USA's World Junior Championship team last winter, was joined at the camp by four state of Ohio products, Ohio State Buckeyes Tom Fritsche, Domenic Maiani, and Ian Keserich and Miami RedHawk Nathan Davis.

Brule and Russell are currently attending Hockey Canada's Junior Development Camp in Whister, B.C. (Aug. 10-15). Both Brule and Russell netted goals in Saturday's intrasquad game after being held scoreless in the camp's first intrasquad on Friday. After a practice day on Sunday, a final intrasquad will be held on Monday to conclude the camp.
