In celebration of hockey and all those who play the game, the Blue Jackets will present the following recognitions and activities when the Jackets host the New York Islanders on Saturday, February 25 at 5 p.m.

USA Hockey -Youth hockey players are encouraged to wear their jerseys and will be invited to take part in a group photo on the ice after the game (meet at the top of section 116 at the game's conclusion to be escorted to the ice). Concourse activities include a USA Hockey photo booth and street hockey in the IGS Energy Zone.
Hockey is for Everyone -The Blue Jackets will highlight diversity among participants in the sport with an on-ice, pre-game introduction of several individuals representing their respective leagues or programs from across Ohio.
You Can Play -Blue Jackets' You Can Play ambassador Scott Hartnell and teammates will use PRIDE tape on sticks during pre-game warmups. The club will then auction off signed sticks by a select group of players with proceeds benefiting You Can Play and its efforts to insure safety and inclusion of all in sports - including LGBTQ athletes, coaches and fans. Learn to Play -Visit section 108 by the IGS Energy Zone on the main concourse to learn more about Blue Jackets Learn to Play, a new program designed to provide first-time hockey participants, between 4-8 years of age, free head-to-toe equipment, age-appropriate instruction and certified coaching led by former Blue Jacket Andrew Cassels. Kids are invited to check out the equipment try-on station where Cassels will be on hand to help and answer questions about the program. Registration for Learn to Play spring sessions opens Monday, February 27.
