COLUMBUS, OHIO – Prior to the official start of the NHL Entry Draft at Nationwide Arena on Friday, June 22, fans will have an opportunity to interact with Columbus Blue Jackets left wing Rick Nash and goaltender Pascal Leclaire during the NHL Draft Bash on Battelle Plaza.
Nash will sign a commemorative player card (limit one per person) at the Nationwide kiosk located just outside The Blueline from 4:30-5 p.m. while Leclaire and five lucky CD101 listeners will test their Xbox 360 gaming skills in The NHL07 Challenge with Pascal Leclaire presented by Mountain Dew from 4-5 p.m. Should the contestants beat Leclaire, they will win an autographed item and prizes from Mountain Dew and Best Buy.
Other highlights of the NHL Draft Bash include a free concert by multi-platinum recording artist Yellowcard and food and drink from Donatos Pizza, Skyline Chili, Pepsi and Anheuser Busch. Fans will also be able to mingle with Stinger and other NHL mascot friends and test their skills with a host of hockey-themed interactive attractions. Draft tickets are not required for this outdoor plaza party.
The 2007 NHL Entry Draft will be held at Nationwide Arena on Friday, June 22 and Saturday, June 23. The first round will begin at 7 p.m. on Friday night with rounds 2-7 beginning at 10 a.m. on Saturday. Tickets for the Draft are free and available at the Nationwide Arena Box Office or any of The Blueline locations at the Chillers or The Mall at Tuttle Crossing.
