Blue Jackets join the "Movember" movement

by Staff / Columbus Blue Jackets

COLUMBUS, OH — Columbus Blue Jackets players and front-office staff invite fans to support the club’s Movember campaign to change the face of men’s health. Throughout the month of November, the collective growth of moustaches among players, coaches, staff and fans serves as the vehicle to raise funds and awareness for men’s health issues. Fans can join the Jackets in supporting the cause in a variety of ways.

Join the CBJ Mo Bros team – Fans may visit to donate on behalf of a specific Blue Jackets player or personality, including team captain Stinger. Fans may also participate by registering individually or as a team. Photos tracking the progress of the CBJ Mo Bros moustaches will be posted throughout the month.

Use the official #letsMOjackets hashtag – Social media users are encouraged to use the #letsMOjackets hashtag when sharing favorite moustache photos via Twitter or Instagram.

Donate in arena – During select games (Nov. 5, Nov. 15, Nov. 27, Nov. 29), a collection featuring interchangeable moustaches on the oversized likeness of players Cam Atkinson, Sergei Bobrovsky, Jared Boll, Brandon Dubinsky, Jack Johnson, James Wisniewski and President of Hockey Operations John Davidson will be on display on the Bud Light Terrace area of the main concourse. Fans can make a suggested donation of $5 in support of their favorite Blue Jacket. In return for the donation, fans will receive a moustache tattoo and be entered to win tickets to the Mo Suite during the Nov. 29 game vs. Edmonton.

Movember is part of the National Hockey League’s Hockey Fights Cancer initiative. In support of this effort, all local proceeds collected throughout the month-long campaign will benefit the official Movember program. For more information on the global charity, visit
