BLUE JACKETS GREATEST FEATURE

BlueJackets.com and Jackets TV asked fans in August to vote for the Greatest Save in CBJ History. The choices were: Ron Tugnutt Nov. 2000, Marc Denis Oct. 2002, Martin Prusek Oct. 2005, Steve Mason Dec. 2008 and Mathieu Garon Oct. 2010. Your votes have been counted and the final results are:

WINNER: Steve Mason - Dec. 1, 2008 vs. Vancouver (69.2% of the vote)  -  WATCH THE HIGHLIGHT

Mason loses his stick, but recovers in a sequence where he makes four saves within nine seconds. Mason sees everything, including a glove save on the goal line to stop Kyle Wellwood during his Calder Cup winning season.

Ron Tugnutt - Nov. 4, 2000 at Ottawa
- 11.5%
Tugutt stops Marty Havlat on a breakaway and then bats away the puck in mid-air for two saves on one shot.

Martin Prusek Oct. 28, 2005 vs. Minnesota - 11.1%

Prusek uses the stick to rob Willie Mitchell on a rebound. Prusek first stops an initial shot from the Wild's Wes Walz and then dives across the goal crease and gets the stick on Mitchell's shot to help the Blue Jackets to an eventual 2-1 shootout win.

Mathieu Garon - Oct. 16, 2010 at Minnesota - 5.1%
Garon also makes a glove save at the goal line to help the Blue Jackets beat the Wild. With the extra attacker on, the Wild move the puck to the front of the net, but Garon is there to stop Andrew Brunette in the final seconds of a 3-2 Blue Jackets win.

Marc Denis - Oct. 12, 2002 at New Jersey - 3.0%
Denis fends off a Jamie Langenbrunner deflection with his toe. Denis makes a great adjustment to a shot from the point to deny the Devils using every inch of his 6'1" frame.

Each month, Jackets.com and Jackets TV will let fans vote on the greatest moments in the 10 seasons of Columbus Blue Jackets hockey. Here is out it works.

•During the first week of each month, that month’s category will be revealed via the club’s Twitter and Facebook pages. Fans will be asked to email their suggestions to contest@BlueJackets.com. Five finalists will be selected.

•Voting will begin mid-month and conclude at the end of the month. Every person who votes will be eligible to win a Blue Jackets prize. The winner will be selected at random.

Thanks to everyone who voted and congratulations to Donald Reinhold of Xenia who was the winner of a Blue Jackets jersey.
