Blue Jackets Foundation and Saks Fifth Avenue Host Black Tie Blue Jackets Style Show presented by Kelly BMW at Hilton Columbus/Polaris on Feb. 26

COLUMBUS, OHIO – For the fourth consecutive year, Columbus Blue Jackets players and their wives/girlfriends along with pediatric cancer heroes from Nationwide Children's Hospital will be outfitted by Saks Fifth Avenue as they model the latest fashions in a charity style show at the Hilton Columbus/Polaris on Friday, February 26. Proceeds from the Black Tie Blue Jackets Style Show presented by Kelly BMW will benefit the Columbus Blue Jackets Foundation's local Hats For Heroes program and related pediatric cancer research initiatives.

The night begins at 5:30 p.m. when the models will be on hand for a pre-show wine and beer tasting hosted by Heidelberg Distributing Company, Labatt Blue, Bud Light and Coors Light. A sit-down dinner precedes the style show which also features an exclusive auction.

Players scheduled to appear in the show include Jared Boll, Derick Brassard, Derek Dorsett, Mathieu Garon, Rostislav Klesla, Steve Mason, Marc Methot, Kris Russell, Anton Stralman and Jakub Voracek. Blue Jackets public address announcer Greg Murray and in-arena host Mike Todd will share duties as event emcees. Players are subject to change.

The Blue Jackets Foundation was founded in March 2000 and has since donated nearly $3 million to local non-profit organizations dedicated to one or more of its main pillars of giving: pediatric cancer, education, children's health and safety and the development of youth and amateur hockey.
