David Vyborny scored a power-play goal and Martin Prusek stopped 21-of-24 shots, but the Columbus Blue Jackets fell, 3-1 at Minnesota on Saturday night.
Columbus took the early 1-0 lead when Vyborny scored on the power play at 9:28 of the first period on assists from Nikolai Zherdev and Bryan Berard. For Berard it was the fourth straight game in which he has recorded a point (1-3-4).
However, Todd White tied the game with a power-play goal at 10:53, knotting the score at one.Â Minnesota tallied a goal in the second and third periods to account for the scoring.
Prusek stopped 21-of-24 shots in taking his first loss as a member of the Blue Jackets. The Wild out-shot Columbus, 24-16, and the Blue Jackets finished 1-of-9 on the power play while killing seven-of-eight Minnesota power play attempts.
The Jackets will return to action on Tuesday, Nov. 1, facing the Edmonton Oilers at 9 p.m. (ET).
