The Columbus Blue Jackets have designated right wing Bill Lindsay for assignment and assigned left wing Alexandre Picard, center Peter Sarno and defenseman Jamie Pushor to the Syracuse Crunch, the Blue Jackets’ American Hockey League affiliate, team President and General Manager Doug MacLean announced today.






With the moves, the Blue Jackets now have 30 players remaining on their current roster. The Blue Jackets play their ninth and final preseason game today at Nationwide Arena, hosting Central Division rival Nashville. Game time between the Blue Jackets and Predators is set for 5 p.m.





Columbus' fifth regular season gets underway at the Washington Capitals on Wednesday, Oct. 5, with the home opener slated for Friday, Oct. 7, against the defending Western Conference champion Calgary Flames. Game time at Nationwide Arena is 7 p.m.
