Blue Jackets Bolstered by the Return of Three Players!

by Jeff Rimer / Columbus Blue Jackets

December 5

The Blue Jackets host the Colorado Avalanche at Nationwide tonight re-inserting three players back into the lineup that did not dress in Thursday's 6-3 loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs. Andrew Murray comes off IR tonight and lines up alongside Jason Chimera and Sammy Pahlsson. Murray's grittiness has been missed and should help the CBJ's checking line. Raffi Torres who missed the Leafs game due to the birth of his daughter also returns tonight, as does D-man Marc Methot. The three returnees should help the Jackets get back to Blue Jacket hockey and there's even more good news around the corner. Both Derek Dorsett and Freddie Modin took part in this morning's skate and both could return to active duty within the next week if they don't have any setbacks.

Colorado off to a surprising start have two 18-year-old players in their lineup and whether your going to the game tonight or watching the HD telecast on Fox Sports Ohio, pay particular attention to the two youngsters... both first round picks and both having strong rookie seasons. The two are Matt Duchene and Ryan O'Reilly. With those two and Paul Stastny, the Avs are going to be strong down the middle for years to come!

Enjoy the game.
