The Columbus Blue Jackets made their second roster moves of training camp as the club assigned three players to their junior teams, team President and General Manager Doug MacLean announced Tuesday. The Blue Jackets training camp roster now currently includes 53 players.
The following players were assigned to their respective junior clubs today: center Kirill Starkov (Red Deer/Western Hockey League), right wing Derek Dorsett (Medicine Hat/Western Hockey League) and defenseman Ben Wright (Lethbridge/Western Hockey League).
The Blue Jackets (1-0-0), coming off a 2-0 win over Nashville in Sunday's preseason opener, return to action tonight against the Buffalo Sabres. Game time is set for 7 p.m. Recently acquired Anson Carter, Rick Nash, Sergei Fedorov and David Vyborny are among the players scheduled to make their preseason debuts in the game.
