Blue Jackets Assign Martin Prusek To Syracuse

The Columbus Blue Jackets have re-assigned goaltender Martin Prusek to the Syracuse Crunch, the club's American Hockey League affiliate, club President and General Manager Doug MacLean announced today.

Prusek, 30, has appeared in nine games with the Blue Jackets this season posting a 3-3-0 record with a 3.22 goals against average and .879 save percentage. The Ostrava, Czech Republic native appeared in three AHL games with Syracuse during an early season conditioning assignment and went 2-1-0 with a 3.67 goals against average and .890 save percentage.

The Blue Jackets open a three-game road trip tonight when they travel to Carolina to face the Hurricanes at 7 p.m. The game will be broadcast on FSN Ohio with the pregame show, Ice Breaker, starting at 6:30 p.m. The game will also be broadcast live on the Blue Jackets Radio Network and flagship stations WBNS-AM Sports Radio 1460 the Fan and WWCD-FM, CD101. The road trip continues with games at Nashville (Dec. 17) and at Detroit (Dec. 20).
