COLUMBUS, OHIO – The Columbus Blue Jackets will play an eight-game preseason schedule, including four home games at Nationwide Arena, prior to their 14th National Hockey League season, the club announced today. Columbus will play one home and one road game against a pair of Metropolitan Division rivals – the Pittsburgh Penguins and Carolina Hurricanes – as well as former Central Division rivals the St. Louis Blues and Nashville Predators.
The Blue Jackets open preseason play with a pair of split squad games on Sunday, September 21. Columbus will visit Carolina at 1:30 p.m. prior to battling St. Louis on home ice at 6 p.m. That contest is the first of four home preseason games at Nationwide Arena.
The Jackets will also host the Penguins on Tuesday, September 23; Hurricanes on Wednesday, October 1; and Predators on Saturday, October 4.

The Blue Jackets also announced dates for their annual development camp at Nationwide Arena and the OhioHealth Ice Haus. On-and-off-ice workouts will be held from Monday, July 7 through Thursday, July 10. All on-ice sessions will be open to the public. A complete camp schedule and roster of participating players will be announced at a later date.
