Blue Jackets add Justin Falk on emergency recall from AHL's Lake Erie Monsters

COLUMBUS, OHIO – The Columbus Blue Jackets have added defenseman Justin Falk to the roster on emergency recall from Cleveland’s Lake Erie Monsters, Columbus’ American Hockey League affiliate, club General Manager Jarmo Kekalainen announced today.  Falk is expected to join the club in time for tonight’s game vs. the Detroit Red Wings.

Falk, 27, has collected 0-4-4 with 17 penalty minutes and an “even” plus/minus rating in 20 games with the Blue Jackets this season.  He has added 2-3-5, 39 penalty minutes and is -1 in 25 games with Lake Erie.  The Snowflake, Manitoba native has tallied 2-21-23 and 151 penalty minutes in 167 career NHL games with the Blue Jackets, Minnesota Wild and NY Rangers, including 1-5-6 and 24 penalty minutes in 25 games since joining the Jackets via trade on March 2, 2015.  Minnesota’s second pick, 110th overall, in the 2007 NHL Draft, he has also tallied 9-29-38 and 245 penalty minutes in 253 career AHL games with the Monsters, Iowa Wild and Houston Aeros.
