COLUMBUS, OHIO -- The Columbus Blue Jackets have activated left wing Matt Calvert off Injured Reserve, club General Manager Jarmo Kekalainen announced today. Calvert has missed the past 15 games due to a concussion.
Calvert, 25, has registered 10 goals and nine assists for 19 points with 28 penalty minutes in 49 games this season. The Brandon, Manitoba native was Columbus’ fifth pick, 127th overall, in the 2008 NHL Draft and has collected 39-43-82 and 141 penalty minutes in 202 career NHL games. In 2013-14, he posted 9-15-24 and 53 penalty minutes in 56 games, setting career highs in assists, points and penalty minutes. He added 2-2-4 and four penalty minutes in six Stanley Cup playoff games. Calvert registered 9-7-16 with 32 penalty minutes in 2012-13.
