The Columbus Blue Jackets have activated center Dan Fritsche from the Injured Reserve list, club President and General Manager Doug MacLean announced today. Fritsche is expected to be in the lineup for tonight's home game against Minnesota (7 p.m. start).
Fritsche, 20, was placed on Injured Reserve due to an ankle injury suffered at Los Angeles on Oct. 16 and missed the past four games. He skated in the first six Blue Jackets games this season, recording 2-0-2 with 11 shots on goal. He posted his first career multi-goal game with a pair of tallies on Opening Night at Washington. The Parma, Ohio native was Columbus' second pick, 46th overall, in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.
Tonight's game on FSN Ohio begins with the IceBreaker pre-game show at 6:30 p.m. The game also will be broadcast live on the Blue Jackets Radio Network and flagship stations WBNS-AM Sports Radio 1460 the Fan and WWCD-FM, CD101.
