COLUMBUS, OHIO - The Columbus Blue Jackets have activated center Artem Anisimov off Injured Reserve and placed left wing Matt Calvert and defenseman Fedor Tyutin on Injured Reserve, club General Manager Jarmo Kekalainen announced today.
Anisimov, who missed the past seven games after suffering an upper body injury vs. Ottawa on October 28, has recorded two goals and two assists for four points with four penalty minutes in nine games this season. The Yaroslavl, Russia native has posted 81-88-169 with 122 penalty minutes in 369 career NHL games with the Blue Jackets and New York Rangers.
The 26-year old recorded 22-17-39 with 20 penalty minutes in 81 games in 2013-14, setting career highs in goals, game-winning goals (five), shorthanded goals (two) and TOI/game (16:35). Anisimov registered 11-7-18 with 12 penalty minutes in his first season as a Blue Jacket in 2012-13 after being acquired in a trade from the NY Rangers on July 23, 2012.
Calvert was placed on Injured Reserve retroactive to November 7 and is day-to-day with an upper body injury. He collected 1-1-2 in nine games this season before suffering the injury at Carolina on November 7. Tyutin, who has two assists and six penalty minutes in 16 games this season, suffered a sprained knee at Philadelphia on Friday and is expected to be sidelined 4-6 weeks.
