One common theme among the top forward prospects in the Blue Jackets organization - names like Emil Bemström, Liam Foudy and Alexandre Texier, players general manager Jarmo Kekalainen didn't want to part with at the trade deadline - is that they can shoot the puck.
Texier showed an example of that Friday night as the 2017 second-round pick fired in his first North American goal for the Cleveland Monsters in just his second AHL game.
Suiting up for the Blue Jackets' top farm team in a home game vs. Rochester, Texier took a pass from Mark Letestu and fired a one-timer into the net for his opening tally. (Be sure to enjoy the team's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles-themed sweaters, too.)

The 19-year-old just arrived in Cleveland after an excellent season with KalPa of the Finnish Liiga. The Frenchman led his team in scoring, totaling 14 goals and 41 points in 55 games before coming over to begin his North American career.
Cleveland won the game 5-2 over the Amerks to bolster their chase for a playoff spot.
The Monsters are back in action Saturday night in Cleveland in a game that can be seen on Fox Sports Ohio. And be sure to check back each Monday on BlueJackets.com for Monsters Monday, which takes a look at the week that was for Columbus' top prospects.
