Chris Boden is in his third season as the Radio Studio Host on the Blackhawks' radio home, WGN Radio AM-720, and handles pre- and postgame duties on WGN Radio for all Blackhawks games in addition to hosting intermission reports. Boden is a veteran of the Chicago sports scene, having spent 35 years covering Chicago sports on radio and television. He won an Emmy as part of his Blackhawks Stanley Cup parade coverage.
Prior to joining the Blackhawks, Boden spent ten years at CSN Chicago including time as Blackhawks pre- and postgame host and in-game reporting between 2009-2017. He also served as a studio host for Chicago Bears programming with CSN Chicago.
Boden worked at WBBM-AM from 1990-98 and during that time served as host for Blackhawks pre- and postgame radio coverage in addition to serving as sports director beginning in 1994. He joined WBBM-TV in 1996 as a sports anchor/reporter and spent seven years in that role. Boden has also worked at ESPN Radio Chicago, FSN Chicago, NFL Network and Fox Chicago.
Raised in the southwest Chicago suburb of Burbank, Boden is a graduate of Luther South High School where he ran cross country, played football and was a part of the school's 1980 Class A state basketball championship team. He graduated from Columbia College in Chicago.
