Zyuzin, Koci To IR; Bolland Recalled

Blackhawks General Manager Dale Tallon announced today that center Dave Bolland has been recalled from the Blackhawks American Hockey League affiliate, the Rockford IceHogs. In addition, left wing David Koci and defenseman Andrei Zyuzin are being placed on the Injured Reserve list.

Bolland, 21, has played in seven games for Rockford this season, scoring four goals and one assist for five points. Bolland has also picked up ten penalty minutes and has a plus-3 rating. Three of Bolland’s four goals have come on the power play.

Koci, 26, is being placed on the injured list because of a broken nose. Koci was originally injured in the the October 20 game at Toronto and then aggravated the injury in the October 25 game at Boston. In seven games with the Blackhawks this season, Koci has 24 penalty minutes.

Zyuzin, 29, is being placed on the injured list because of a strained muscle in his backside. In seven games for the Blackhawks this season, Zyuzin has one goal, one assist and eight penalty minutes.

The Blackhawks play their next game at the United Center vs. the Atlanta Thrashers on Saturday, October 27 at 7:30 p.m. CDT.
