Wisniewski To Undergo ACL Surgery Thursday

by Staff Writer / Chicago Blackhawks
General Manager Dale Tallon announced today that Blackhawks defenseman James Wisniewski is scheduled to undergo surgery tomorrow to repair a torn ACL in his right knee and will be out indefinitely.

Wisniewski suffered the injury in the first period of last night's 3-0 win over the Los Angeles Kings. He is scheduled for surgery tomorrow at the University of Chicago Hospital.

Wisniewski is the second Blackhawks player this season to undergo surgery to repair a torn ACL. Michal Handzus tore his ACL back on October 21 against St. Louis and had surgery on November 16.
