Western Conference Semifinals: Games 4 and 5 vs. Detroit

The Blackhawks defeated the Detroit Red Wings 4-1 in Game 5 of the Western Conference Semifinals on May 25, 2013, after falling within one game of elimination with a 2-0 Game 4 loss on May 23 at Joe Louis Arena in Detroit. With the series record at 3-2 in favor of Detroit, the Blackhawks must now win twice to advance to the next round of playoffs.

You have to just approach every game and try to win it as best you can," Patrick Sharp said after the game. "We’ll enjoy this one tonight, take a deep breath and give it everything we’ve got in Game 6.”

Seabrook posted his first point of the postseason — an assist on an Andrew Shaw tally — while playing 23:20 minutes on ice, the defenseman's highest TOI since Game 1 of the Quarterfinals against Minnesota. Keith recorded his second multi-point outing of the playoffs to bring his postseason point total to nine, tied for third on the team.
