Last night we had our big team dinner with all of the prospects. I sat next to some guys that I haven't been able to talk to as much like Peyton Jones and Joshua Ess so it was nice getting to know them. We had a ton of appetizers and I had salmon. Everything was really good!
One of my favorite parts of being at Development Camp has been meeting all of the prospects. I knew a lot of the U.S. players, but I've enjoyed meeting guys like Adam Boqvist, Niklas Nordgren and Henri Jokiharju. I've also met some college guys that I will be playing against next year.

The city of Chicago reminds me a lot of Boston with the big buildings and busy streets. I'm going to college at Boston University and the urban campus was a big reason why I chose to go there. It was between Boston University and Boston College, but ultimately the coaching staff and city campus made it an easy decision.
I've been at BU for summer school the past two weeks taking a Hospitality course and doing some training. There are about ten guys from the team there now, so it's been fun getting to spend time with my new teammates.
I'm most looking forward to hockey season in the fall. When I was playing for Team USA I was always checking the college scores to see how BU was doing. I'm excited to finally be there wearing the jersey. I've been committed since I was a freshman in high school and it feels like the longest wait ever.
Today was an up-tempo day on the ice, blending everything we've learned the first three days. We did everything from line rushes to battle drills. They are trying to get us to be competitive and that's what you are going to be seeing in the scrimmage tomorrow.
Ever since I got injured I've loved playing games even more. I think playing against the older guys will be fun tomorrow. I'm learning a lot from them and how they play. Tonight, I will grab some dinner and get to bed early for tomorrow's scrimmage.
