Toews Scores A Hat Trick For North Dakota

C Evan Brophey, Plymouth (OHL): Brophey scored a goal in Plymouth's 4-2 win over Mississauga on Sunday ... He is currently 2nd in the OHL in assists with 13.

D Simon Danis-Pepin, Maine (Hockey East): Danis-Pepin was held scoreless in Maine's season opener, a 3-1 victory over Minnesota on Friday.

C Nathan Davis, Miami-OH (CCHA): Davis had two assists in Miami's season opening 5-2 win over Denver on Friday night ... He was held scoreless in Miami's 4-1 loss to Vermont on Saturday.

C Jacob Dowell, Wisconsin (WCHA): Dowell was held scoreless in Wisconsin's season opener, a 3-0 win against Northern Michigan on Friday ... He had two goals in Wisconsin's 3-3 tie with Northern Michigan on Saturday.

C Adam Hobson, Spokane (WHL): Hobson was scoreless in Spokane's 2-1 shoot out win over Everett on Friday night ... He had an assist in Spokane's 5-1 loss to Tri-City on Saturday night ... Hobson is an assistant captain for Spokane.

RW Jack Skille, Wisconsin (WCHA): Skille was held scoreless in Wisconsin's 3-0 win over Northern Michigan on Friday and its 3-3 tie with Northern Michigan on Saturday. He was a -1 for the two games.

C Jonathan Toews, North Dakota (WCHA): Toews had an assist in North Dakota's season opener, a 6-1 win over Quinnipiac on Friday ... He had three goals, an assist and was a +4 a day later in a 4-2 win over Quinnipiac on Saturday.


C Petri Kontiola, Tappara (FIN): Kontiola  had 2 assists in Tappara's 3-2 loss to KalPa on Wednesday. He was named the 2nd star of the game ... Kontiola went scoreless in Tappara's 4-1 loss to Jokerit on Thursday and its 4-1 win over Pelicans on Saturday ... Kontiola has 10 points in 11 games this season.

RW Igor Makarov, SKA St. Petersberg (RUS): Makarov went scoreless in SKA's 2-1 loss to Mytishi Khimik on Saturday ... Makarov has four goals in 12 games with SKA.
