Team Red beat Team White 3-2 in Monday's camp scrimmage. Here's what you should know.
Tyler Sikura took a feed from Shaw Boomhower and deftly buried a backhander to make it 1-0 for Team Red early in the scrimmage.

In that third frame, 2018 first-round pick Adam Boqvist shot the puck and 2018 fourth-round pick Philipp Kurashev got a piece of it to make it 2-0 for Red.
In 3-on-3 overtime, Matheson Iacopelli and Jan Rutta scored for White, while Jake Ryczek potted one for Red.
Here are three takeaways.

1. KANE LINE LOOKS FINE

We know that the line of Brandon Saad, Nick Schmaltz and Patrick Kane has a chance to dominate play with the puck almost every game they're together.
In the scrimmage on Monday, they showed some more signs of that, particularly in the second.
Saad was denied by goaltender Kevin Lankinen on a breakaway in which he got the jump on the defenseman and broke in alone.
The next time they had the puck, the line cycled it very well for a prolonged shift. Later in the second, Schmaltz fired a shot off the crossbar.
There were some good signs from a dangerous line.

2. BOQVIST'S PLAYMAKING

You absolutely must watch the 2018 eighth-overall pick whenever he has the puck. He has enough talent to make an impressive play any time he gets it.

In the first, Boqvist came in on a 2-on-1 and pulled the puck away from a defender to set up a scoring chance. The defenseman also had a nice, long pass to Chris Kunitz in the second (more on that below).
In the third, Boqvist had a few more nice moments, including his assist on Kurashev's goal in which his shot trickled behind the goalie and the forward finished it off. Moments later, Boqvist led another 2-on-1 and again used his stickhandling to play keep-away with an opposing player.

3. KUNITZ SHOWS COMPLEMENTARY SKILL

The veteran of more than 960 NHL games is no stranger to playing with some top-end talent. So far in camp, he has gotten that opportunity again with the Blackhawks.
In addition to receiving a long pass from Boqvist, in which he called for it at the opposing blueline and the defenseman fired it from below the circle, Kunitz showed off some playmaking ability of his own.
In the first, Kunitz sauced a nice cross-ice pass to Alex DeBrincat. Right spot, good touch, but no goal to show for it as DeBrincat couldn't finish. It was a nice play for the established veteran though.
