Patrick Sharp scored his 22nd goal of the season on January 13, 2008 at Nashville while taking a career-high seven shots on goal. Sharpy added the game winner in the shootout for a 3-2 decision.
On January 14, 2007, Cam Barker tallied his first career NHL goal on a power play against Minnesota at the United Center.
Hall of Fame goalie Tony Esposito chalked up his 74th and final shutout in a Hawks uniform when he blanked Pittsburgh 2-0 on January 15, 1984.Esposito still holds Chicago's all-time mark for whitewashes.
The Hawks' record for the fastest goal to start a period belongs to Denis Savard when he lit the lamp four seconds into the third period on January 15, 1986 at the Stadium in a 4-2 win over the Hartford Whalers.
Another Hall of Fame goalie - Glenn Hall - played in his 500th consecutive NHL game when the Hawks battled Montreal at the Stadium on January 17, 1962. However, Hall was visibly shaken when the owners surprised him by driving a new car on the ice to mark his achievement before the game. The Canadiens scored on their first shot of the game, a 70-footer that came bouncing in from center ice, as the visitors came away with a 7-3 victory. Hall went on to start the next three games before an injury ended his record-breaking mark of 503 straight games.
On the same date in 1991, Michel Goulet scored the last of his three Blackhawks hat tricks in a Chicago uniform during a 5-3 win over Toronto.
Last year on January17, Andrew Ladd played in his 200th career NHL game.
Current Hawks Alumni President Cliff Koroll picked up his third hat trick as a Blackhawk in a 5-3 victory over Washington at the Stadium on January 18, 1978.
