The Rockford Rewind: Hayes hot for Hogs

Fri., Dec. 9: Chicago 3 vs. Rockford 6
> Rockford snapped a season-long four-game losing streak with a win against the Wolves.
> Andrew Shaw recorded his first career multi-goal game.
> Byron Froese scored his first career AHL goal.
> Philippe Paradis chipped in a pair of assists.

Sat., Dec. 10: Grand Rapids 2 vs. Rockford 3 (SO)
> Shawn Lalonde scored his first goal of the season.
> Brandon Segal scored the game-winning shootout goal in the sixth round of the shootout.
> Carter Hutton made 41 to earn his second straight win.

Sun., Dec. 11: Rockford 4 at Milwaukee 5 (SO)
> Rockford earned a point in a season-high third-straight game with a point in the shootout.
> Peter LeBlanc had a goal and an assist and Jimmy Hayes marked two assists.
> Rostislav Olesz bagged a goal for a third straight game.
> Alec Richards made 40 saves in the shootout loss.


Bacon Bits:
> A week after going 0-3-0-0 over a three-game weekend, Rockford went 2-0-0-1 in a three-game weekend set in Week 10.
> Rostislav Olesz has a goal in three-straight games and a point in four-straight contests dating back to 12/4/11

> Rockford’s 3-2 shootout win over Grand Rapids on Saturday moved the team’s all-time home record against the Griffins to 11-1-0-1 and 18-4-0-3 overall. Rockford has won eight-straight home games against Grand Rapids dating back to Jan. 23, 2010. The IceHogs are 14-3-0-0 against the Griffs over the past three seasons heading into Wednesday’s season head-to-head finale at Van Andel Arena.
> Sunday’s game in Milwaukee marked just the second time this season that Rockford was held below 29 shots on goal as the Hogs had just 20. The IceHogs had a franchise record-low 13 on 10/14/11 at Abbotsford in a 3-2 win.
> Through 25 games, Rockford has recorded five or more goals in a game seven times. In 2010-11, Rockford had five or more goals in a contest 10 times.


Hot Hog:
Rookie winger Jimmy Hayes had points in all three games with a plus/minus rating of +4 for the IceHogs in Week 10. Hayes chipped in assists in both of Rockford’s home wins on Friday and Saturday and then added his second career multi-point game on Sunday in Milwaukee assisting on the IceHogs first two goals. Overall this season, Hayes has 4g-13a-17pts in 23 games, fourth best on the IceHogs, and is riding a career-high four-game point streak.
