For the first time since October, the Blackhawks have recorded two back-to-back wins. Lukas Reichel led the way for Chicago in the win with both his first NHL goal and first multi-point NHL game.
"Last game I had so many [scoring] chances," Reichel said. "[They] didn't go in, but you have to work for it and keep going, and today it went my way."
Reichel netted his goal off a deflection in the first period, followed by Colin Blackwell's first goal as a Blackhawk and Philipp Kurashev's fifth goal of the season. Max Domi capped the victory off in overtime to take the 4-3 win.

Head coach Luke Richardson praised the team for staying focused after a a rough stretch of games, where they won three of their last 10.
"It's really great to see the guys have some success like that, back-to-back, especially at home," Richardson said. "I think we've been really pumping our way back up. [When you don't win] it gets old and stale, but they didn't fold tent and quit, they just persevered even harder, and they got the results."

STALOCK-ED IN

Goalkeeper Alex Stalock notched another outstanding game, tying his career high with 44 saves in his 11th start of the season. The Flames outshot the Blackhawks 47-25, with two of their three goals coming on the power play. This was even double his performance in the previous game in which he shut out the Coyotes and recorded 22 saves. Max Domi praised him for his performance after the game.
"Stalock was unbelievable once again, and [we] found ways to be good in our [offensive zone]," Domi said. "[That] gave ourselves a chance to win."

WORKING OVERTIME

This marks the third overtime win for the Blackhawks this season, out of seven overtime contests. Their last came on Nov. 3 against the Los Angeles Kings. Richardson stated that the team was able to get over the 'hump' of the third period this game and it paid off.
"[It was great] to see them perservere in that third period, really get over the hump. I'm happy for the guys because they worked hard for it," he said.

REICHEL FINDS HIS STRIDE

After recording only one point over the 12 NHL games he's played in his career, everything went right for Reichel on Sunday night. He credits the confidence he built from a strong game on Friday helping carry over to tonight. But, he isn't going to get overconfident anytime soon.
"In juniors I had a couple of games where I scored hat tricks and stuff, and I was overconfident," Reichel said. "It doesn't work like that, every game you got to work and start from zero."
Domi said he was very impressed with Reichel's performance tonight, including when he assisted him on the OT game-winner.
"He's outstanding, he's only going to get better every single day," Domi said. "[There's] nothing better than watching a guy get their first goal. It's a fun feeling and a lot of work that pays off in the long run, [that's] what it's all about."
