Special TV Coverage Planned For Saturday's Home Game

Comcast SportsNet, the television home of the Chicago Blackhawks, is planning a big night of special coverage for its Blackhawks home game telecast against the Anaheim Mighty Ducks this Saturday, October 28 beginning at 7:00 PM with Blackhawks Pre-Game Live.

Face-off is set for 7:30 PM featuring Comcast SportsNet's Blackhawks announcing tandem of Dan Kelly and Eddie Olczyk.

Among the numerous highlights for this home game from the United Center include:

  • Game produced in full High-Definition format (1080i, 5.1 Dolby)
  • Blackhawks Pre-Game Live and Verizon Wireless Blackhawks Post Game Live presented in 16x9 widescreen format (both shows are hosted by Jim Blaney and Steve Konroyd)
  • Blackhawks RW Martin Lapointe to wear a microphone throughout the game
  • SportsNite's Mitch Robinson and Josh Mora will be on-site to capture the fan experience and provide viewers with behind-the-scenes access to players and coaches
  • Eddie Olczyk will handle "telestrator" duties to illustrate key plays throughout the game
  • Intermission interviews with Blackhawks players
  • Flashbacks to great Blackhawks moments from the United Center
  • Locker room presence before the start of the game as the Blackhawks get ready to hit the ice, along with shots of Lapointe being fitted with his game microphone

Immediately following the game, Blaney and Konroyd return for Verizon Wireless Blackhawks Post Game Live. Among the highlights will be head coach Trent Yawney's post-game press conference, locker room interviews with Blackhawks players, a talk back session with Eddie Olczyk, along with a complete game analysis.
