Ruutu and Salmelainen To Visit Children's Hospital

Chicago Blackhawk forwards Tuomo Ruutu and Tony Salmelainen will be visiting the patients at Comer Children's Hospital from 2-4 p.m. on Mon., Nov. 13. This visit is the second of five scheduled visits Blackhawk players and coaches will make to Comer Children's Hospital during the course of the 2006-07 season.

During their visit, Ruutu and Salmelainen will chat with the patients, sign autographs and distribute goody bags. Tommy Hawk will also be on hand to signs autographs and meet the kids in the hospital.

Ruutu is currently in his third season as a Blackhawk and just recently played in his 100th game in a Blackhawk uniform. Ruutu was the ninth overall selection in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft and has represented his native Finland in several international competitions.

Salmelainen is in his first year with the Blackhawks after leading the Finnish Elite League in scoring last season. Players appearing are subject to change.
