RELEASE: Mitchell Assigned to Rockford

The defenseman played in two games with the Blackhawks this season

The Chicago Blackhawks today announced that they have assigned defenseman Ian Mitchell to the Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey League.
Mitchell has appeared in two games with the Blackhawks this season. He has also skated in three games with the IceHogs, posting five points (2G, 3A).
The Blackhawks will play the Montreal Canadiens tomorrow at the United Center at 1 p.m. CT. The game can be seen on NBC Sports Chicago and heard on WGN Radio.
