RELEASE: Matchups set for Illinois High School Championships

The Blackhawks will host the 2019 Illinois State High School Hockey Championships at the United Center on Friday, March 22

In conjunction with the Amateur Hockey Association of Illinois (AHAI), the Chicago Blackhawks will host the 2019 Illinois State High School Hockey Championships, presented by Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana Chevy Dealers, at the United Center on Friday, March 22.


The event will feature a full evening of action, including the following matchups:

4:30 p.m. - Girls' Division Championship: Fenwick vs. New Trier

7:30 p.m. - Boys' Red Division Championship: Loyola Gold vs. New Trier Green

9:15 p.m. - Boys' Combined Division Championship: Waubonsie/Metea vs. Glenbard

NBC Sports Chicago will provide multi-platform coverage of the Boys' Red Division State Championship tilt as Loyola Gold squares off against New Trier Green live at 7:30 p.m. Chris Boden and Patrick Sharp will be on the game call, along with Leila Rahimi providing in-game reports. The Boys' Red Division State Championship game will also be available via live stream to authenticated NBC Sports Chicago subscribers at The United Center scoreboard feed of the Girls' Division and Combined Division games will be streamed live on and the Blackhawks mobile app.

Parking for the event is free in all official United Center parking lots, and the first 10,000 fans to enter the United Center will receive a Chicago Blackhawks expandable backpack.

This marks the 32nd year that AHAI will host their State Championship at the United Center/Chicago Stadium. The 2018 title was won by Loyola Academy in the Red Division, Buffalo Grove/Hersey/Wheeling High Schools in the Combined Division and New Trier High School in the Girls' Division.
