RELEASE: Gilbert re-assigned

The defenseman has been re-assigned to the Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey League

The Chicago Blackhawks announced today that they have re-assigned defenseman Dennis Gilbert to the Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey League.

Gilbert, 22, made his National Hockey League debut on Wednesday vs. St. Louis, registering a game-high six hits in the contest.

Drafted by the Blackhawks in the third round (91st overall) of the 2015 National Hockey League Draft, Gilbert has recorded five goals and nine assists in 59 regular-season games for the IceHogs this season during his professional debut.

The Chicago Blackhawks conclude their 2018-19 home schedule at the United Center against the Dallas Stars on Friday, April 5 at 7:30 p.m. That game can be seen on NBC Sports Chicago, streamed on NBCSportsChicago.com and on the My Teams by NBC Sports app and heard on WGN Radio and in Spanish on WRTO-AM.
