The Chicago Blackhawks today announced that the team has signed goaltender Dylan Wells to a one-year, two-way contract ($750,000 NHL/$80,000 AHL).
Wells, 24, owns a 1-1-0 record with a .862 save percentage and a 4.27 goals against average in three AHL games this season with Rockford of the American Hockey League (AHL). The netminder has an 8-12-3 record with a .894 save percentage and a 3.24 goals against average in 25 career AHL games with Bakersfield, Chicago and Rockford.
The 6-foot-2, 190-pound native of St. Catharines, Ontario was originally selected by Edmonton in the fifth round (123rd overall) of the 2016 NHL Draft
