The Chicago Blackhawks unveiled plans to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the 2010 Stanley Cup Championship in a season-long campaign at this evening's Opening Ceremonies of the 12th annual Blackhawks Convention.
At five games this season, as well as through special content, events and appearances throughout the year, the Blackhawks will commemorate one of the most unforgettable seasons in franchise history.
Fans will have the opportunity to collect a series of 2010 Championship-inspired bobbleheads, which kicks off at the Blackhawks Training Camp Festival on Sunday, September 15. Gates to the United Center will open at 9 a.m., and the first 10,000 fans to enter the United Center will receive a Patrick Kane bobblehead that showcases his famed goal celebration. General admission tickets for that event are on sale now for $5 at Blackhawks.com.
Additional regular season giveaways will honor marquee moments from 2010 including the remaining four bobbleheads featuring Marian Hossa, Duncan Keith, Brent Seabrook and Jonathan Toews as well as a 2010 replica ring. Each 2010 Anniversary Night game will also feature interactive photo opportunities and historical items on display for fans in the United Center Atrium.
The Chicago Blackhawks will once again honor past alumni with "One More Shift," an ode to former players that allows fans to recognize them one more time as they skate on the ice. This season, these recognitions will coincide with 2010 Anniversary Night games. Bringing together members of the team that returned the Stanley Cup to Chicago after 49 years, the 10th anniversary campaign will culminate in an on-ice celebration at the final 2010 Anniversary Night game in Spring 2020.
More information can be found at Blackhawks.com/2010, and specific dates for all 2010 Anniversary Nights will be released with the full 2019-20 season's promotional schedule at a later date. As previously announced, single-game tickets for the team's 2019 preseason home games at the United Center will go on sale on Tuesday, August 6 at noon followed by single-game tickets for the team's 2019-20 regular-season home games on Tuesday, August 20 at noon on Blackhawks.com.
