The Chicago Blackhawks today announced the team's Spanish-language radio broadcast schedule with Univision Chicago, in conjunction with WGN Radio AM-720, which will begin with the team's home opener featuring an Original Six matchup against the Toronto Maple Leafs at 6 p.m. on Sunday, October 7.

The partnership between the Blackhawks and Univision originated during the 2015-16 season with one game broadcast and has now grown to bring 25 Blackhawks games to Chicago's Spanish-speaking community during the 2018-19 regular season. Games will air on Univision Deportes Radio (WRTO AM 1200) with game action to be called by Univision sports commentators Hector Lozano and Omar Ramos.
Univision Deportes Radio will also broadcast the Blackhawks outdoor contest against the Boston Bruins at the 2019 Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic® on Jan. 1, 2019 at Notre Dame Stadium in South Bend, Ind. This will be the first Spanish-language broadcast of a Winter Classic since its inception in 2008.
In addition to the broadcast partnership, the Blackhawks and Univision will continue to work together across marketing, youth hockey and Chicago Blackhawks Foundation initiatives throughout the season to fully engage and connect with fans in Chicago's Hispanic community.
