by Chicago Blackhawks Communications / Blackhawks.com

The Chicago Blackhawks announced their roster for the 2021 Tom Kurvers Prospect Showcase today, named after the Minnesota Wild's assistant general manager who passed away in June after a lengthy battle with lung cancer. Blackhawks' prospects will take on the Wild's prospects in two games at TRIA Rink at Treasure Island Center in St. Paul, Minnesota on Friday, Sept. 17 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, Sept. 19 at 1 p.m. The team includes 14 forwards, seven defensemen and three goaltenders. Games will be streamed on the Minnesota Wild's YouTube channel.

Chicago's roster is highlighted by their first-round selection in the 2020 National Hockey League Draft, Lukas Reichel and 2021 first rounder, Nolan Allan, as well as 2021 second-round selection Colton Dach. In addition, two players on the showcase roster, Mike Hardman and Alec Regula, made their NHL debuts with the Blackhawks during the 2020-21 season. Twelve other players on the roster have played for the Blackhawks' American Hockey League affiliate, the Rockford IceHogs. The showcase will be coached by IceHogs head coach Derek King, associate head coach Anders Sorensen, development coaches Brian Campbell and Peter Aubry and video coach Adam Gill.

There will be no direct media access to Blackhawks players in St. Paul. The Blackhawks Communications Department will run interviews via zoom with select players and Derek King on Thursday, Sept. 16 and Monday, Sept. 20. Links to register will come at a later date.
