The Chicago Blackhawks today announced the team has claimed defenseman Jarred Tinordi off waivers from the New York Rangers.
Tinordi, 30, skated in seven games with the New York Rangers during the 2021-22 campaign, registering an assist. In 32 games with the Hartford Wolf Pack of the American Hockey League, the 6-foot-6, 231-pound blueliner notched five points (1G, 4A).

Tinordi has played in 109 career regular-season NHL games with Montreal (2013-16), Arizona (2015-16), Nashville (2019-21), Boston (2021) and New York (2021-22), totaling 13 points (2G, 11A). He has an assist through 13 postseason NHL games. He's also accumulated 96 points (21G, 75A) in 429 career regular-season AHL games and has one assist in seven playoff contests.
The Millersville, Maryland native was originally selected by the Montreal Canadiens in the first round (22nd overall) in the 2010 NHL Draft.
