GAME RECAP

CHI: 0, MIN: 1

1st - 2:58 - Marcus Foligno (Calen Addison)

The Wild opened the scoring shortly after the Blackhawks' opening power play as the penalized Marcus Foligno found the net on his first shift after being freed. Calen Addison carried the puck from the point down into the corner and found Foligno sneaking in an open area in the slot from the weak side. The winger shoveled a quick shot past an unsuspecting Marc-Andre Fleury for the game's first goal.

1st - 4:07 - Ryan Hartman (Kirill Kaprizov, Mats Zuccarello)

Minnesota doubled the lead a short time later off a bad bounce in front. Former Blackhawk Ryan Hartman put a one-timer from the slot off the crossbar behind Marc-Andre Fleury, only to have the rebound deflect off the netminder's arm and into the back of the net for a 2-0 lead.

1st - 17:12 - Ryan Hartman (Mats Zuccarello, Kirill Kaprizov)

Ryan Hartman added his second of the night before the opening frame's end. Mats Zuccarello looked off a shot attempt in the high slot with a defenseman in front of him and slid a pass over to Hartman a few feet away. Hartman took a quick half-slapper that eluded Marc-Andre Fleury in transition while squaring up to the shot for a 3-0 score.

2nd - 12:05 - Calen Addison (Marcus Foligno, Jon Merrill)

The Wild made it 4-0 just past the midpoint of the game. Jon Merrill collected a loose puck along the boards in the offensive end and worked it back to the point to Marcus Foligno, who sent it across the ice to Calen Addison at the opposite point. Addison put a slap shot on net through a screen in front for his second of the year.

CHI: 0, MIN: 5

2nd - 16:26 - Brandon Duhaime (Kevin Fiala, Dmitry Kulikov)

It became a 5-0 game a few minutes later as Brandon Duhaime found open space at the back post behind the Blackhawks defense. Kevin Fiala threaded a pass from the corner to Duhaime, who put a one-timer past Kevin Lankinen for the score.

CHI: 1, MIN: 5

3rd - 14:57 - Dylan Strome (Patrick Kane)

The Blackhawks got on the board late on a 2-on-2 rush as Patrick Kane fed Dylan Strome in the slot, where the centerman put a wrister past Kaapo Kahkonen to spoil the shutout bid.
