RAPID REACTION:Corey Crawford was near his best on Saturday night, helping his team by making 37 saves, as the Blackhawks rallied late to best Columbus with a 4-1 victory, their first regulation win of 2018-19.
The Blackhawks opened the scoring at 3:48 of the first, courtesy of Alex DeBrincat. The Blue Jackets evened things up with a Zach Werenski 4-on-4 goal at 12:09.

Crawford's performance helped the Blackhawks sneak into the third tied at 1-1, despite the high volume of scoring chances against them.
The Blackhawks stole back the lead at 7:43 of the third period and they didn't let go.
Kane finished off a tic-tac-toe passing play on a wide-open net to extend Chicago's lead to 3-1 late in the third and then he potted the empty-netter to conclude the regulation victory.
LUCKY NUMBER 7: DeBrincat continued his scorching hot start to the season with his seventh goal in his seventh game. The tally came on the Blackhawks first shot of the night and trickled five-hole on Sergei Bobrovsky. The goal also gave DeBrincat an extension on his career-high point streak, which now stands at... you guessed it... seven games.

CRAWFORD CONTINUES SOLID PLAY:Two games into Crawford's return from a concussion that kept him out a long period of time, the Blackhawks goaltender looks just fine. After making 27 saves in his season debut, Crawford stopped 27 shots through the opening two periods of this one, including a handful of prime scoring chances like a breakaway from Anthony Duclair and Pierre-Luc Dubois in tight. He finished the game with 37 saves on 38 shots and was a big reason his team was in the game.

FIRST POINT:It was extremely close to being Alexandre Fortin's first NHL goal, but he'll have to settle for first point instead. Fortin's shot at 7:43 of third period deflected in off Marcus Kruger in front for the go-ahead marker, and eventual game-winner. Fortin has played well so far in his young career and has come close to scoring. Perhaps soon he'll be smiling and holding onto a taped puck in the locker room.
TALKING POINTS:
"I felt really good. I was reading plays well. I thought our D were blocking shots. I don't know how many we tipped up into the net. We were cutting them off. They had a lot of speed on the outside and we were taking that away and our PK was really good, especially that second period was great for our PK. We just stuck with it. It was a great game for us to just keep playing and not let anything bother us. We found a way to win there." - Crawford on his night
"He's playing great. He kept us in that one tonight. Obviously, we didn't have the best first two periods but he was standing on his head for us, gave us a chance to win and it was nice we kind of helped him out in the third." - Kane on Crawford

Kane talks about Crawford’s performance in Columbus

"We'll call it a 'goalie win' for sure. I think that second period there, we were even in the first but that second period we were fortunate to come out of it 1-1 and then start the period with a power play. It was a timely goal for us as well to give him a little support. But it was all Crow. Nice to see him play like that. Vintage Crow." - Joel Quenneville on Crawford
WHAT'S NEXT:The Blackhawks conclude this back-to-back at home against the Tampa Bay Lightning on Sunday at 6 p.m. CT. You can watch the game on NBCSCH or listen on WGN 720.
