RAPID REACTION:A fast start to the game helped carry the Blackhawks to a 3-1 victory over the visiting Minnesota Wild. The win gives Chicago points in four straight and moves them to 8-8-5 on the season (21 points).
Chicago took a 1-0 lead, courtesy of a power-play goal from Jonathan Toews at 8:26 of the opening period. Patrick Kane and Henri Jokiharju each logged an assist.

Zach Parise responded for Minnesota with a power-play goal at 7:56 of the second period to make it a 2-1 game.
Blackhawks rookie forward Dominik Kahun potted the empty-net goal late to make it 3-1.
Corey Crawford was once again spectacular for the Blackhawks and finished the game with 39 saves to help Chicago secure the victory.
TOEWS ON A TEAR:It took the Blackhawks captain until New Year's Eve last season to reach 10 goals. His power-play tally in the first period of this game gave him 10 by Nov. 18. Toews also stretched his point streak to four games. Toews is second on the team in scoring with 18 points through 21 games, behind only Kane.
KNEEL BEFORE SAAD:Saad continued his hot start with his beauty goal late in the first. It was his sixth of the season and third in his last five games. It was also the first time this season he's scored in back-to-back games. The last time this happened was Feb. 15 and 17 (of 2017-18) against the Ducks and Capitals.

TALKING POINTS:
"I think there's always room for improvement. You've got to give a team like that credit, they play well, they're good at holding onto the puck and creating chances. You're going to give up some. But I think our power play, our penalty kill, everything is starting to really fall into place." - Jonathan Toews on the win over Minnesota
"Overall, that felt great...We've just got to battle and work to be better. I've felt good so far but our guys did a really good job helping out in front of net." - Crawford on his performance against the Wild
WHAT'S NEXT:The Blackhawks hit the road for a three-game trip that will have them play the Washington Capitals, Tampa Bay Lightning and Florida Panthers. Their first game of the trip comes on Wednesday at 6 p.m. CT in the nation's capital. You can watch the game on WGN or listen on WGN 720.
