Prospect Roundup: DeBrincat's record, NCAA field set

1st Star: RW Alex DeBrincat
The Line: 3GP, 3G, 2A
With three goals and two assists over the last three games of the regular season, DeBrincat set an Erie Otters franchise single-season record for goals, finishing the campaign with 65 to his name. He also came within two points of tying the single-season record for points after accumulating 127 in 63 games this year. The 2016 second-round pick compiled a 27-game point streak to finish the season, dating back to Jan. 13, a stretch that included a 19-game goal run.

2nd Star: RW Tyler Motte
The Line: 3GP, 1G, 3A
Motte recorded a point in all three appearances with the American Hockey League's Rockford IceHogs last week. He notched an assist in Tuesday's 4-3 overtime loss to Milwaukee and Friday's 2-1 shootout win over Manitoba, before posting a goal and a helper in Rockford's 5-3 loss to Manitoba on Saturday. Motte now has 14 points (8G, 6A) in 33 AHL games this season.
3rd Star:LW Kyle Baun
The Line:3GP, 2G, 1A
Baun recorded a goal and an assist for Rockford last Tuesday against Milwaukee, then scored the only regulation goal for the IceHogs in Friday's shootout victory. Baun currently paces the team with 29 points (13G, 16A) in 63 regular-season games in his second AHL campaign.
Around the system:
- Mathias From skated in three playoff games with Rogle's J20 squad in the SuperElit. He tallied the game-winner in a 3-2 win over HV71 last Wednesday and added another goal in a 6-5 loss on Saturday. Rogle dropped the series 2-1.

• Roy Radke picked up a goal and an assist for the Ontario Hockey League's Barrie Colts over his final three games of the regular season, ranking fourth on the team with 36 points (23G, 13A) in 45 games despite missing time with an injury ... Graham Knott recorded three helpers in his final three regular-season tilts with Windsor, ending the regular season with 52 points split between the Spitfires and Niagara IceDogs. Windsor, which finished fifth in the OHL's Western Conference, will play the reigning OHL champion London Knights in the first round of the playoffs, while DeBrincat and the first-place Otters will take on eighth-seeded Sarnia.

• Alexandre Fortin notched a goal and an assist for Rouyn-Noranda over the final three games of the regular season, finishing with a career-best 52 points in 52 games. The second-ranked Huskies will face Halifax in the first round of the QMJHL playoffs. 2016 fourth-round pick Nathan Noel and the No. 1 seed Saint John Sea Dogs will play No. 16 Rimouski ... Two Blackhawks prospects will see action in the Western Hockey League playoffs. Radovan Bondra, a 2015 fifth-round pick, finished first in the B.C. Divison with Prince George, and will now play the Portland Winterhawks in the first round. Medicine Hat, featuring 2013 seventh-round pick John Dahlstrom, will take on the Brandon Wheat Kings.

• Notre Dame defenseman Dennis Gilbert recorded his 22nd assist of the season in a 5-1 loss to UMass-Lowell in the Hockey East semifinals last weekend ... Denver blueliner Blake Hillman picked up his sixth helper and seventh point of the year to help the Pioneers defeat Western Michigan 3-1 in the NCHC third-place match ... Beau Starrett tallied his fourth goal of the season last Friday in a 4-1 win over Union in the ECAC tournament semifinals. He now has 14 points in 34 games.

• The NCAA tournament bracket was revealed on Sunday, and seven Blackhawks prospects will compete with their teams for a spot in the Frozen Four, to be held at the United Center in early April. Hillman and Denver are the top seed in the Midwest Region and will play Michigan Tech. Three prospects are in action the Northeast Region, including Minnesota and 2014 seventh-round pick Jack Ramsey, who will face off against Gilbert and Notre Dame in the opening match; meanwhile, Starrett and Cornell will take on UMass-Lowell. Western Michigan, including leading scorer Matheson Iacopelli, is the second seed in the East bracket, and will take on Air Force in their first game next week. Lastly, in the West, Boston University and defenseman Chad Krys will take on the reigning champions North Dakota in their first game, while goaltender Matt Tomkins will try to backstop Ohio State to a victory over top-seeded Minnesota-Duluth.

• Brandon Mashinter tallied a pair of helpers in Rockford's overtime loss to Milwaukee last Tuesday and now has 23 points (12G, 11A) in 50 games this season ... Michael Latta notched two helpers in Rockford's loss to Manitoba on Saturday; since joining the IceHogs in late January, he has 11 points in 22 games ... Vinnie Hinostroza scored two goals for the IceHogs last Tuesday and now has six points in 12 AHL games this season.

• Two prospects made their professional debuts with Rockford last week. Defenseman Luc Snuggerud logged his first career pro point with an assist against Manitoba on Saturday, while center Anthony Louis scored the shootout winner over Manitoba on Friday.

• Kenton Helgesen recorded five assists in three games with the ECHL's Indy Fuel last week, including three in an 8-7 win over Quad City on Sunday. He has 21 points split between Indy and Utah this season, including eight points in eight games with the Fuel.
