The Blackhawks look to snap their current eight-game losing streak when they host the St. Louis Blues at the United Center on Wednesday evening. Speaking on Tuesday after practice, the players and Head Coach Jeremy Colliton said they've seen progress in their game over the last few days, but they are still searching for the reward.

The visiting Blues would like to bounce back from their 3-2 home loss to Minnesota on Sunday. However, they have been able to secure a few wins as of late. St. Louis is 3-2-0 in their last five with both losses coming to the Wild at home.
This game in Chicago marks the start of a three-game road trip. They'll travel to Las Vegas and San Jose next.
Ryan O'Reilly leads the team in scoring with 21 points (8G, 13A) through 15 games this season.
SEASON SERIES:
This is already the fourth meeting of the season between the two clubs. Chicago has gone 2-1-0 through the first three, with both of their victories coming in overtime.

Blackhawks vs. Blues game preview

Chicago won 5-4 in OT on Oct. 6 and 4-3 in OT on Oct. 13. They lost 7-3 in St. Louis on Oct. 27.
The season series concludes on April 3 in Chicago.
LINEUP NOTES:
Defenseman Gustav Forsling was recalled from Rockford on Tuesday morning and could be in the lineup against the Blues. Brandon Davidson missed morning skate with a right leg injury and has been ruled out for the game.

Forsling returns after injury rehab

Judging by rushes at the morning skate, the projected lineup for the game is as follows:
Schmaltz-Toews-Kane
DeBrincat-Kampf-Kahun
Saad-Anisimov-Hayden
Kunitz-Johnson-Martinsen
Defensive pairings:
Keith-Seabrook
Gustafsson-Jokiharju
Manning-Forsling
OPPONENT TO WATCH:
The aforementioned O'Reilly is currently riding a 10-game point streak. He has eight goals and nine assists in that span, as he paces the team on the season.
On July 1, O'Reilly was acquired by St. Louis from Buffalo in exchange for Patrik Berglund, Vladimir Sobotka, Tage Thompson, the Blues first-round pick in 2019 or 2020 NHL Draft and St. Louis' second-round pick in 2021 NHL Draft.
