President Obama congratulates the Blackhawks in a call

President Obama on Wednesday congratulated Blackhawks leadership, including (left to right) Rocky Wirtz, Joel Quenneville, Jonathan Toews, Jonathan’s father (Bryan), John McDonough, Stan Bowman, Jay Blunk and Al MacIsaac.

Today, President Obama called Chicago Blackhawks Head Coach Joel Quenneville, Principal Owner and Chairman Rocky Wirtz, and team captain Jonathan Toews to congratulate the Blackhawks on winning the Stanley Cup. The President commended their leadership, and the entire team’s efforts on their third championship in six years. The President added that he looks forward to welcoming the team back to the White House to celebrate their victory.
