Practice Notes - Oct. 24

by Adam Kempenaar / Chicago Blackhawks

Look for defenseman Magnus Johansson to be back in the lineup Thursday night at Boston, most likely paired with Brent Seabrook. Johansson had been scratched the past two games to make room for Jim Vandermeer after appearing in the first seven games of the season.

Coach Denis Savard kept Duncan Keith and Brent Sopel together Wednesday, along with Vandermeer and James Wisniewski. Andrei Zyuzin was paired with Danny Richmond and may be a scratch on the blue line Thursday.

Patrick Sharp was re-teamed with center Robert Lang and winger Jason Williams with Rene Bourque bouncing to the 4th line after playing with Lang and Williams in Tuesday's loss to Columbus.

The Hawks' most dominant line of late -- Jonathan Toews, Patrick Kane and Tuomo Ruutu -- remained together with Yanic Perreault centering the 3rd line between Sergei Samsonov and Adam Burish. Perreault had been a scratch for the first time this season against Columbus but will likely be back in the lineup Thursday.
