Players to Greet Fans at Preseason Games

by Staff Writer / Chicago Blackhawks
The Chicago Blackhawks announced today that all players not dressing for pre-season games will be stationed at all gates of the United Center to greet fans and pass out free lineup cards as they enter.

"This is another step in nurturing the new partnership between the players, management, and our fans," said Blackhawk Vice President Peter Wirtz. "This is one of the many new initiatives we are instituting for the upcoming season. It's important for the fans to know how much we appreciate their support."

"We want to show our fans how much we appreciate their coming back and what better to do that than to have our players greet them as they enter our house," said Blackhawks General Manager Dale Tallon.

Blackhawk players will be present at the gates for all four home pre-season games. This is another of the new initiatives the Blackhawks have instituted this season in welcoming back the fans.

Another thing fans will notice when they enter the arena bowl is the in-ice THANK YOU at each blue line. This is another way the Blackhawks are saying thank you to their fans as they begin the 2005-06 pre-season and regular season schedule.
