MEDICAL: Blackwell Undergoes Successful Surgery

The forward is expected to be out of hockey activities for 12 weeks.

Chicago Blackhawks team physician Dr. Michael Terry today released the following medical update:
"Blackhawks forward Colin Blackwell underwent successful sports hernia surgery on Wednesday. The surgery was conducted in New York and we expect him to be out of hockey activities for approximately 12 weeks."
